Summer 2018 continues to be bright, bold and beautiful in terms of the key fashion trends - which is playing to all my strengths, as I love a bit of colour! You'll rarely find me in black, so I was delighted when a bevvy of yellow hues hit the high street in time for Summer.

And honestly, yellow really is easy to wear for those that are a little, ahem, more colour averse than moi, as you can keep everything else plain or neurtral and use it to add a splash of colour to your outfit.

Here's my Top 5 current yellow must have's and as ever I am staying budget friendly (I never spend over £100 in a month):

Yellow floral shorts, Monsoon, £35

Let's start with a bang! Yellow - tick. Floral - tick. Pockets - tick. I'm so in love with these shorts that I'm actually willing to get the milk bottles and the Mum Knees (I need to trademark that) out as they make me feel so good! Great length, the base yellow is not too bright, the floral pattern is perfect and the high waisted style keeps that mum tum at bay. Perfecto!

__Mustard Slides, Mango, £19.99 __ If you're looking for a pop of yellow, then look no further and add these to your feet - they look great with jeans, skirts, dresses and shorts and are a great price. The yellow is not too bright either.

Yellow bag, Cath Kidston, £28

Let's stay with accessories - another way to add a pop of colour is this gorgeous zesty cross body bag, which is currently in the sale. Great style and easy to wear on the school run with pretty much any outfit. If you're not brave enough for this one, there's also a blue one with little yellow lemons on, also in the sale.

Pineapple print t-shirt, Shein, £9.99

Yellow always makes me think of all my favourite fruits, especially pineapple! The yellow on this top isn't too 'out there' and the pineapple pattern is fun. At this price, you deserve to treat yourself to it!

Smiley face canvas shoes, Zara Kids, £17.99

And not forgetting the kiddly winks, I got my 18 month old these this month and we've been stopped constantly by people asking where they're from! They're pretty sturdy too and a great price.
