Don’t fret if this is the case - there is help at hand from Nelsons Baby with a range of baby healthcare products to help relieve the symptoms of some of the most common baby ailments.

If your little one’s pearly whites are coming through it can leave you with a grumpy baby, even if it is an exciting milestone. Signs of teething can include dribbling, red cheeks, swollen or sensitive gums, lots of biting and chewing, and disturbed sleep – which can all lead to your baby being more grizzly and fussy than usual.

Nelsons top teething tips:

  • Try a teething ring and keep it in the fridge so it is always cool to soothe sore gums.

  • Give your baby cool foods to chew on, be sure to supervise your baby.

  • Try Nelsons Teetha® Teething Granules, a homeopathic remedy specially formulated for the soothing and calming relief of the symptoms of teething. ## Colic

Colic is a medical term for excessive and frequent crying in a baby who appears to be otherwise healthy and well fed – maybe it is one of the grizzliest ailment of them all! It usually begins within the first few weeks of life, but often stops by the time the baby is four months old and by six months at the latest. In most cases the excessive crying occurs in the late afternoon or evening and the baby may clench their fists and draw their knees up to their tummy or arch their back.

Nelsons Tips to help your colicky baby:

  • Take time to wind your baby thoroughly after a feed.

  • Try wrapping him snugly in a blanket or baby sling.

  • If bottle feeding, switch to a ‘fast flow’ teat

  • If breastfeeding, try and avoid too much tea and coffee.

  • A warm bath and a simple baby massage may help.

  • To help relieve the symptoms of colic try Nelsons Colica® Colic Granules, a homeopathic medicinal product used within the homeopathic tradition for the symptomatic relief of colic in babies
