Mother’s Day is edging ever closer. Hands up who has forgotten to make their Mummy, Mum, Partner, Wife or Grandma a card for Mother’s Day? Fear not, whether you are good with a pot of paint and a pair of scissor or not we have 5 quick and easy ideas for you to craft a card or gift at home.

1. Flower Fridge Magnet
Equipment:
- Plain white card
- Coloured foam card
- Mason jar lid
- Picture
- Scissors
- Glue
- Sticky magnetic strip
Method: Cut the plain white card into a flower shape
Cute the coloured foam card into circles slightly smaller than the circles on the flower shape
Cut out your picture to fit the size of the mason jar lid and glue together
Glue the mason jar lid to the centre of the flower
Turnover and stick the magnet to the centre of the flower to make a fridge magnet
2. Painted Jar
Equipment:
- Mason Jar
- Coloured paints
- Ribbon
- Paintbrushes
Method: Pick your favourite colours and paint pretty flowers onto the mason jar
Tie a ribbon around the neck of the jar to finish
Why not pop some flowers into the jar for a perfect gift
3. Hand print Elephant card__
Equipment:
- Coloured card
- Grey paint
- Plain white paper
- Ribbon
- Plastic eyes
- Glue
Method: Fold a piece of coloured card and attach a piece of ribbon to the top in the shape of a loop
Paint your child’s hand in grey paint onto the white card, once dry glue to the coloured card
Add the plastic eye and ribbon for decoration

4. Mother’s Day Card for Grandma
Equipment:
- White card
- Pink and Green paints
- Writing pen
Method: With some green paint drawer a stem and grass
Paint your child’s hand and print on the paper
Help your child to write a little message
5. Mother’s Day Card
Equipment:
- White card
- Cupcake cases
- Green paint
- Writing pen
- Glue
Method: Cut out pictures to match the size of the cupcake case and glue to the base
Once dry stick the cupcake case in the appropriate place
Using green paint drawer a stem from each of the cupcake cases to create a flower
Help your child to write a little message
